Summary of research

I am a social psychologist investigating social and cultural factors that affect people’s well-being and health. I hold a double PhD in psychology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands (2018), and ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, Portugal (2019). Currently, my research focuses on two topics: migrant and sojourner adaptation to living in a new country, and health effects of conspiracy beliefs. At UiO, I manage two research projects. The first project looks at the links between cross-cultural adaptation and the way migrants and sojourners perceive and stereotype members of the host culture. The second project, funded by the Research Council of Norway, aims at summarizing the extant literature on cross-cultural adaptation using cutting edge meta-analytical methods.
